Chopin Returns!
Chopin’s replacement bronze bust was installed in the Polish Cultural Garden June 25, 2010, thanks to the Polish-American Cultural Center and Ben Stefanski. Overseeing the new bust’s creation and installation was Teresa DeChant of DeChant Art Consulting. Bust was sculpted and cast by Studio Foundries, Cleveland. Pillar engraving and bust installation by Milano Monuments of Cleveland. See attached photos thanks to Lauer Film.
Cleveland International Hall of Fame Inaugural Class
The May 12, 2010 installation of the inaugural class into the Cleveland International Hall of Fame featured four people who have been intimated associated with the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation over the years. That is four out of thirteen inductees. The Federation celebrates their inductions and all of their work on the Federation’s behalf as well as that of the general community’s. Chopin Piano Concert and Chopin Bust Dedication–Polish Cultural Garden
Stay tuned for details on the June, 2010, piano concert of Chopin music, outdoors in the Polish Cultural Garden, marking the dedication of Chopin’s restored bust and Chopin’s belated (March 1, 1810), 200th birthday celebration. May 2nd: Polish Fraternals clean Garden for “Join Hands Day”
May 3rd Memorial wreathe laying in Garden. Part of Polish Constitution Day Celebration. Polish American Congress-Ohio Division-Cleveland photo exhibit which highlights the Garden. Held at Alliance of Poles Hall, Cleveland.
June 7th Dedication of restored Maria Sklodowska Curie bust in Polish Cultural Garden. Above photo exhibit moves to St. Casimir’s Church.
September 4th-7th Photo exhibit on display at Cleveland’s Oktoberfest at the Cuyahoga Country Fairgrounds, Berea.
September 20th Cultural Gardens “One World Day” celebration is hosted by the Polish Cultural Garden and features Polish culture.
October 18th Photo exhibit on display at the “Zatanczmy” Let’s Dance celebration of Polish folk dance, Magnificat High School, Rocky River, Ohio
